Weekly Car Brief started with two car guys who were tired of spending way too much time hunting down legitimate car events across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Finding out what was actually happening meant digging through scattered social media posts, dead forums, and event pages that had zero useful information. Finding a solid car show, track day, or local meetup shouldn't feel like a full-time investigation, but it did. We knew there had to be a better way to stay plugged into the local car scene without the constant headache of second-guessing dates, times, and addresses.
That frustration is why we built Weekly Car Brief. We wanted one reliable spot where local car enthusiasts could subscribe and find every real event around the Nashville area without all the hassle. Along with this, we wanted to build a community that will grow more knowledgeable about cars and one day even create their own events.
Our first goal was building a centralized calendar that brings everyone together—from seasoned gearheads who’ve been turning wrenches for decades to curious newcomers just getting into the car scene. We aren't just focusing on one specific crowd. We want to cover every single aspect of the car and racing world—whether that's early Cars & Coffees, late-night meets, drag nights, grassroots drifting, track days, autocross, classic car cruises, dirt track racing, or custom truck and import shows. If people are gathering around engines, we want it on the schedule.
As we continue to grow, our plan is to expand the calendar even further. We want to reach deeper into surrounding areas, catch smaller local pop-ups, and build out a massive, all-in-one directory. The bigger the schedule gets, the easier it is for anyone to find a spot to hang out, race, or display their build on any given weekend.
When the building process for the calendar began, we realized something else. Knowing when and where an event happens gets you out of the garage, but it doesn't give you the knowledge or confidence to actually jump into the scene.
That’s where the newsletter comes in. Instead of sitting on the sidelines or endlessly scrolling social media wondering how to get involved, we give you a quick, 5-minute read once a week to level up your car knowledge. In doing this, we effectively equip all our users with applicable knowledge they can take and learn more about. We seek to cover real automotive topics local to Middle Tennessee including:

Nashville-related car news and local industry updates
Occasional event coverage from meets around town
Car build interviews with local owners highlighting custom projects
